It’s easy, playful, and just the right amount of silly to bring smiles to any celebration. Using simple craft supplies—most of which can be found in your home already or get on JAM Paper—this taco decoration comes together fast and makes for a great party accent. Here's how to cook up your own paper taco masterpiece:

Supplies Needed

Paper Plate
Tissue Paper
Glue
Scissor
Marker
Paint

Paint and Draw

Paint the back of the plate yellow to mimic a taco shell (mix in some white paint to tone down a brighter yellow), then draw thin black lines to give it that toasted tortilla look.

Cut tissue paper into strips

Grab colored tissue paper (here we used green, red, and gold colors) and cut them into long strips for your taco toppings.

Glue the strips

Line the inside rim of your plate with glue and then place the colorful strips along the inside curve of the plate to look like lettuce, cheese, and salsa peeking out.

Seal your taco

Add glue along the rim over the tissue paper, then fold the plate in half to close it. Use binder clips to hold the sides together while the glue dries to be sure the closure of the taco will be secure.

Add some flair

For a goofy twist, give the taco some personality, glue on googly eyes and draw or cut out paper mustaches to stick on the shells.

This taco craft is fun, fast, and absolutely festive—perfect for classroom projects or at home crafts, party decor, or just some good old-fashioned DIY joy. Head to JAM Paper to grab all the paper plates, tissue paper, and binder clips you’ll need to bring this taco to life today!
